Film Study (Dead Island l E3 TRAILER 2014)

Dead Island 2

Plan. Context

Dead Island 2 is a survival horror action role-playing game developed by Dambuster studios and
Published by Deep Silver for microsoft windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  It is the sequel
to the 2011 video game Dead Island and the third major installment in the Dead Island series.
The game's storyline is based in california .

On December 31, 2020 is when supposedly Dead Island 2 will be it’s released date.
A low  angle shot was used in the gameplay trailer Dead Island 2
, By the developers of Sumo digital , Yager , Deep silver dambuster studios.
We see this when the character has finished tying his shoelaces and stands afterwards
This shows me that the character is prepared  to do some sort of physical activity.
Making us understand on what might happen next . Giving us a thought on the reason
why he could be tying his shoes up.

The developers did this to show that the character is getting ready to go for a run or a jog.
This was done to make us feel a similar experience.

Coinciding with this the shot was used effectively by using a distance music beat ,
The bomb by Pigeon John. You can also hear the moving of his clothes. This is all done with
a very low volume that starts to become louder, further on in the trailer. This effect gave you a feeling of
curiosity , an energetic vibe, or wanted to possibly get up and go for a run or a jog.

This technique can be shown again at the ending with the camera slowly looking  up at the billboard

A close-up shot was used effectively in the gameplay trailer ,  Dead Island 2 we see this shot after the
character finishes stretching . This helped us see that the developers purposely did this to show part of
the body , we see the same shot when the character starts to grow an infection . The sound is on a low
volume in the scene , the developers created a distance sound to work with this shot.
The shot was done very effectively, making the audience curiosity build up.
This was used again futheron in the trailer , the developers showed the shoulder in exactly the
same way they did in the shot you see right now.

This next shoulder shot  is compared to the first shot we saw at the starting
of the gameplay trailer.  The developers did this to show how the infection was
quickly growing and covering his tattoo making it all disgusting and gross. As well as
The sound starts to become  fast and started to grow lounder.

Sounding : Was used very effectively in the trailer .

In conclusion the developers had many great shots in the trailer, and
had the most perfect ways of showing the shots in Dead Island 2.
The sounding was very effective giving us many thoughts and with the
bomb playing it was actually luring as into wanting to play the game.
Which the developers did this to fall the audience into buying the game.

A watery wonderland was in front of my calm eyes. It's not often you see a sunrise-golden beach. That was my privilege as I gazed out at the slothful sea.. The water wonderland was peaceful like heaven. The sea looked dozy as it rested in the afternoon glow. The cliffstood I stood on seemed as old as Abraham.
Far below I could see the seabirds racing and wheeling between the sun rays of the afternoon light. I could see a gash of zephyr-haunted cliffs and a wide slash of the bay.
The sun is reflecting on the ocean's blanket. The sound of laughter coming from those seagulls below my feet. Waves softly rubbing against each other. The wind in my face going through my  hair. I feel like I'm dreaming over and over again. The sea made me feel alive. The sky was clam as the watery wonderland. That smell of fish and briny fresh air. The landing of sand on my skin. The wind whistling softly through both of my ears

Isn't it a wonderful feeling?

Team Sports are better than individual sports.

Benefits of playing team sports?

Benefits of playing individual sports?

Team Sports are better

Both the same?

Working together / Helping each other .

A individual sport is a sport where individuals play 1v1 so call tennis or golf, while a team sport is a usually a maxmuim of 7 or 4 people in a team like football or volleyball.  Either way im gonna say that they are pretty much both the same.
None is better than the other , why i say this is because it is true.

Team Sports has a benefit of working together and helping each other, while individul sport is one person competing againest the other opponent. It's still a sport . The difference is that yeah team sports can be better be cause of so and so, but so can individual with so and so. Look team sports can have its good benefits (team) or working together helping each other out. Learning different tactiks . While indivual can have its good benefits.

Fisherman should pay for every fish they catch! - planning

Planning :

Not Against :
There is a lot of over-fishing. That leads to broken food chains - and ocean animals dying of starvation.

Too much shrimp
Stop Massive extinction.
Stealing.ho
Open ocean .

Problems  to do with fisherman paying

My ideas :
1 Stop massive extinction
2 Food Chains be back.
3 Stealing - crime .

Writing :

Fisherman pay for every fish they catch. I know this sounds ridiculous but should they pay for every fish they catch? The reasons why they should pay are because it will help stop massive extinction, food chains will come back, therefore fishing without paying should be a crime.

With  a mass of extinction it's calculated  that around by 0.01 and 0.1% species become or will become extinct each year .  Between 200 and 2000 marine life go extinct every year. I know right? . With fisherman boats cast a huge and heavy nets that are held open by heavy weighting doors. Weighing sereveral tons. Each are dragged arcoseed the oceans floor .

Destrution of habitats , Climate change and broken food chains  are the reasons why marine life are becoming extinct . Fisherman are over fishing to the point where there would not be enough food for  the predactors who prey on the fish they catch. The fish they catch can also become extinct .

Over fishing can become a crime how much fish you can take from the ocean . We already got pollution in our oceans there are to many marine life dying and will become extinct because of that. So why is it okay to overfish? Its not okay , and should be a crime for over fishing. As well as not paying for the fish you catch. That should become a crime , if you don't pay for the fish you catch should come a crime.  So yes! Fisherman should pay for the fish they catch.  Too stop marine life from extinction . Its greed that's not okay.

Conclusion : This essay has demonstracted that I have used facts and persuasion on explaining and breaking down points on why fisherman should pay for every fish they catch. Destrustion of habitats , climate change - and broken food chains , a mass of extinction  and over fishing .

Antarctica animals

What animals would you find in antarctica and Why?
It is in the Antarctic that the Blue Whales gorge on kill in
the rich waters before migrating to their feeding grounds
in the warmer waters of the equator. And given its rarity,
it is a beautiful sight if you are ever lucky enough to see
it on your adventure in and around the Antarctic Ocean.

Who discovered the animals in antarctica?
on an expedition to an icy island chain off the Antarctic
Peninsula's northern tip, researchers discovered a massive
super colony of more than 1.5 million Adeline penguins,
according to a study published March 2 in Scientific Reports
.
When were animals first discovered in antarctica?
360 million years

Why do animals live in antarctica
Arctic and Antarctic birds and mammals such as
penguins, whales, bears, foxes and seals - are warm blooded animals
and they maintain similar internal body temperatures to warm blooded
animals in any other climate zone - that is 35-42°C (95-107°F) depending on the species.

How do the animals survive in extreme cold condition ?
Air temperatures are averaging below freezing over the year (usually
well below freezing) with a range in many places around   -40°C to +10°C (-40°F to +50°F)
And highs (very briefly and rarely up to +22°C (+72°F) amongst rocks and moss banks arctic
and Antarctic birds and mammals such as penguins, whales, bears, foxes  and seals - are warm blooded
animals and they maintain similar internal body temperatures to warm blooded animals in any other
climate zone - that is 35-42°C (95-107°F) depending on the species.
They have to keep high body temperatures to remain active. These animals are known as endothermic
(endo-inside + therm-heat) as they generate their heat internally. The polar regions' cold and wind
mean that this heat can very quickly be lost leading to hypothermia (hypo-under).

Weather with you

As I hand the red note to him , he gave a silent glare ,  students started to watch
and whisper in each others ears.  He told me ‘’ your making a scene‘’
and slowly throws the note away  at first i was shocked.
My knees fell slowly towards the ground as my tears started to speed down my face.
I remember looking up feeling raindrops and grey clouds coming over my head and
seeing him slowly walk away from me.  My heart started to hurt. I was sad , hurt ,angry and
disappointed , i couldn’t let him run off .
I was still in love with him. I felt like I didn’t get to hear him say the words i wanted to hear.
I was wet , in tears and I was hurt . Running felt like forever , My heart felt so painful.
The dark clouds started to cover the skies , As lighting started to hit.

Free Writing ( First Man )

IT all started at 25 million years ago a new species appeared on earth: the great apes.
They were our distant ancestors. Through evolution they gave rise , to new more advanced species.
They adventured far and wide and invented , hunting, power, tools, love, and soon.. War .
They gave birth to the first man , the first homo sapiens.
This is where human life began This is where it all started.
If fully modern humans had been around for a hundred thousand years and farming just
started 10,000 years ago what on earth we were waiting for? It turns out we were waiting for
warmth 2.6 million years ago an era of ice ages begins. Producing distinct cold air errors
punctuated by periods of warmth intergalactic modern humans evolved during the last glacial periods.
And when did it end you guessed it 10,000 years ago.
The fact is plants like warmth weather and it was only 10,000 years ago
when the most recent ice age ended , that conditions in Mesopotamia finally came
together in just the right way. So climate change helps us answer the question  why farming
started when it did , now flash forward from 8000 BC . People in Mesopotamia have been farming
for over 6000 years and things have been going pretty well but a disastrous change is coming
. A climate crises that starts around 3800 BC threatens to wipe out Mesopotamian ideal conditions
and bring the farming experiment to an end. And it turns out that ancient geology will be a key to their
survival. Without these tectonic collisions without the creation of these mountain ranges we wouldn’t
have these tremendous river systems that have been so vital for subsequent human history.
Now in 3800 BC as this region dries out , these rivers allow people to create one of humanity’s
most important inventions a key stepping stone to civilisation.

Human life began on farming ,
but why were they not modern, and able to use all the resources we use now?

Story about Iqbal masih (Soical Studies)

Iqbal Masih

Image result for the story of iqbal masih

The Story of Iqbal is truly extraordinaryIqbal is our main subject this semester solely based around Human rights and Children Labour. It gives us the idea of what it's like working without consent and forced to work in order to repay the family debt. Iqbal is a victim of being a debt slave and works for Hussian Khan- the carpet factory owner.

The most interesting thing I've learned about this is how Pakistan has no Human Rights, especially children who aren't entitled to deserve the education they need. What intrigues me the most is how children have no free time to themselves and constantly work underneath the blazing sun.

Mrs. Prebble is reading to us a book that explains Iqbal's story, afterward, it is expected of us to write a S.E.E.L paragraph in an indication of what we have learned and understood and how it links to Human Rights and Child Labour.

Critical literacy.

We are learning about critical literacy. This is taking apart the text and finding what the hidden meanings it has . How it makes you feel and what it tries to portray.

Outsiders book : How does this text construct a version of reality?
The Outsides introduces us to a first person perspective. We are reading from a character and what is going on in the mind of the main character. The things that the characters are thinking is different  from when they are acting (movie) . It has used the idea that the outsides are tough on the outside but soft on the inside. The author S.E Hinton bases on the idea of gang war from 1965. S.E Hinton grounds the character and has negative and positive actions that makes the text seems real.

Outsiders (Movie) : How are children, teenagers , young adults, and adults constructed in the text?
The children are helpless and naive. Which in the teenagers are violent and loud (Both soc's and greasers)
The young adults are the same as violent but still look after the younger people. The older adults are not really there now apart from the nurses , cops and parents of the kids stuck in the fire .

What is Critical Literacy?\

  • Critical Literacy is when you apply Critical Thinking to a literacy topic.
  • Critical Thinking is a skill that we will be practising throughout the year.
  • So… Critical Literacy is when you consider how and why a text was made.
I have learnt for the past week that they is always different points of views.

Learning Activity:

  • What am I learning? I am learning Critical Literacy
  • How does this show my learning? This show my learning because i didn't know much of critical literacy but the fact is that i'm learning about something so yeah.
  • What am I wondering? I am wondering

I have learnt from the past few's weeks of critical literacy , that there is always another problem in a story. Different point of views.
